Privacy & Cookies

Policy pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — “GDPR”

Locanda Rudalza safeguards the confidentiality of personal data and gives it the protection needed against any event that could put it at risk. As required by Art. 13 of the GDPR, we provide below the information regarding the processing of personal data collected through this website.

Data controller

The data controller is Locanda Rudalza, in the person of its legal representative pro tempore, with registered office at Via Punta Saline 1, Olbia (SS), Italy. For any request regarding your personal data you can write to locandarudalza@gmail.com.

What data we collect

This site collects personal data solely through the contact form in the “Get in Touch” section. The data requested is:

  • your name;
  • a contact of your choice (email address or phone number);
  • the message you wish to send us.

By providing this data and submitting the form, you consent to its use in order to respond to your request for information, a quote or a booking. Providing it is optional, but necessary for us to get back to you. We do not collect data through simple browsing of the site, and we do not request special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR), such as data revealing ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or data concerning health or sex life.

Purpose and retention

Data sent via the form is processed for the sole purpose of handling and responding to user requests, and is delivered to Locanda Rudalza's email inbox (locandarudalza@gmail.com). We keep the messages received for as long as necessary to follow up on the request and to comply with any legal obligations; you can ask for them to be deleted at any time by writing to the address above.

Third-party services

To run the site we rely on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

  • FormSubmit — handles delivery of the contact form, forwarding the data you enter to our email inbox. The data passes through the provider's servers (a US-based service). The form is protected by a “honeypot” anti-spam system and does not use a CAPTCHA.
  • Google Maps — a map provided by Google is embedded on the contact page. When it loads, Google may receive your IP address and browsing data and set its own technical and/or profiling cookies (processing in the United States).
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — the “Book” buttons open a WhatsApp conversation. The data you share in the chat is processed by Meta according to its own policy.
  • Vercel Analytics — collects visit statistics in aggregated, anonymous form, without using cookies and without identifying individual users (provider: Vercel Inc.). For this reason your consent is not required.
  • Hosting provider — like any website, the servers hosting these pages may record technical logs (including the IP address) for security and operational purposes.

The typefaces used by the site are hosted directly on our own servers and involve no transfer of data to external providers.

Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy is an integral part of the privacy policy. Cookies are small text files that a site sends to the user's device, where they are stored to be sent back to the site on the next visit. They are used to make the site work, to remember preferences, or to gather statistical information.

This site does not install first-party cookies and does not use profiling or advertising cookies. There is no Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA, advertising network or social tracking widget. Visit statistics are collected via Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies or persistent identifiers: for this reason no consent is required.

The only third-party cookie that may be installed comes from Google Maps, when the embedded map is loaded on the contact page. Because this is a service that can set cookies and receive your IP address, the map is loaded only after your consent: on your first visit a banner asks whether to accept or decline. If you decline, the map is not loaded and no Google cookie is set.

You can change your choice at any time:

Alternatively, you can manage or block cookies directly from your browser. Here are the official guides:

Your rights

As a data subject you can exercise at any time the rights set out in Arts. 15–22 of the GDPR: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. To do so, simply send a request to the controller at locandarudalza@gmail.com. To verify that the request comes from the entitled person, the controller may ask for further information needed to confirm the requester's identity.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali — www.garanteprivacy.it) if you believe that the processing of your data breaches applicable law.

Changes to this policy

Any update to this policy will be published on this page. We invite you to review it periodically to stay informed about how we process your data.
